Ms Stephanie Dowden is a female Nurse Practitioner in Success, WA. Ms Stephanie Dowden has a special interest in Aboriginal Health, Adolescent Health, Adolescents, Asthma, Atopic Eczema, Babies, Behaviour Problems, Child Assessment, Child Health Check, Children with Disabilities, Children's Health, Constipation, Developmental Delay, Eczema, Obesity, Paediatric Palliative Care, Parenting Issues and School Issues. She is passionate about Social Determinants of Health and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the impact of these on health and well-being. Her presentation will discuss how a nurse practitioner-led health service has embedded Adverse childhood experiences (ACE) screening in their care delivery; how they provide ACE-responsive care; the impact of this practice and the benefits for children, teens, their parents and families and the wider community. Practical suggestions for clinicians to include ACEs in their healthcare delivery will be discussed.
