Raise the age NSW

In NSW, children as young as 10 can be charged, prosecuted and imprisoned. This campaign is working to raise the minimum age of criminal responsibility to at least 14 — because children belong in classrooms, not courtrooms.

Nearly 600 children aged 10–13 are locked in Australian prisons each year, with First Nations children disproportionately affected. This national campaign calls on all governments to raise the age to at least 14 and invest in community-led alternatives.
